Dr. Tim Penberthy is a Northwest native, a trained Chemical Engineer and a Dentist in specialty private practice limited to Endodontics in Coeur d’Alene, ID and Spokane, WA.
Prior to receiving his specialty Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in 1995 for Endodontics from Boston University, Dr. Penberthy was a Dentist in solo practice for five years at Post Falls Family Dental. He is active in the community and can be found spending time with his wife Kelly, three adult children and five grandchildren on his ranch south of Stateline, ID.
Dr. Tim Penberthy was proud to welcome his daughter, Brittney Penberthy DDS, as his Endodontic partner in 2016, and his son, Skylar ‘Grizz’ Penberthy in 2022.

Dr. Brittney Penberthy is an endodontist at both Northwest Endodontics in Coeur D’Alene, ID, and Marycliff Dental Center in Spokane, WA.
Brittney grew up in Post Falls and graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School. She attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Creighton Dental School and then completed an AEGD residency through Lutheran Medical Center in Billings. Upon completion of her AEGD residency, she began her endodontic residency at Texas A&M Dental School in Dallas, Texas, graduating in 2016.
Dr. Brittney Penberthy is an Endodontist specialist with extensive training in cone beam CT Scan reading and diagnosis. Brittney has been recently board certified with the American Board of Endodontists. Brittney is one of three board-certified Endodontists in Idaho.
Dr. Skylar ‘Grizz’ Penberthy

Dr. Skylar ‘Grizz’ Penberthy is a native of North Idaho, and practices as a board-eligible endodontist in both North Idaho and Spokane, Washington.
Dr. Grizz attended local grade schools and graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School. After Gonzaga Prep, he became a loyal Vandal at University of Idaho majoring in Biology. Go Vandals!
Following his degree in Biology at U of I, he went on to dental school at Oregon Health & Science University. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Grizz continued advancing his knowledge with an AEGD at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry; immediately, he entered the Endodontic program at Boston University and graduated with a master’s degree in Endodontics.
In his spare time, Dr. Grizz enjoys spending time outdoors: hiking, biking, running, camping, bouldering, sailing, skiing, or relaxing at the lake.
